A voice that I can actually use?

I’m new to the service, I’m really confused by the available voice options… They’re all really novelty and unusable for real life applications or for people who actually need txt read out for them..:

any type of regular, normal voice available or will be available? (other than 400 different versions of Stephen Hawking when he’s sick & instruments trying to speak English?
