A way to not need to back up every few hours or loose my chats, characters and images

I use the app that downloaded from the website or an Android device and I find that I have to back things up every couple hours if I'm working on a project or risk losing everything. I'm writing this just after having spent 3 hours in iterative work not having backed anything up because I was in the middle of a project and it was continuous I put my phone down I come back and make it back up and again everything is deleted. This has happened every time that I try to make characters in The Character section or have started to develop an active project folder and while I've gone better at backing it up it is a step that is very frustrating to have to do so often and still lose content inevitably. I love the app but if I'm going to be paying $26 Canadian for it I would really appreciate having consistency in my work so I know it'll be back when I pick up my phone. Second time in two days that I've lost over an hour of progress on one specific field of work. Let that alone the fact that I was trying to fool around with the chatbots to see what they're capable of and I've never been able to get one to last long enough before being deleted to actually even use them.
