Actual memory retention for long ongoing narratives

Constantly having to remind Aion specific details in long and ongoing story creation is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I’ve tried using the memory feature in settings but the fact that it cannot retain or review content from an entire chat history makes the creative process EXHAUSTING.
