Android – Option to use Venice AI as system digital assistant

I’d love Venice AI’s Android app to be available as a system‑level digital assistant. This would let me trigger Venice from the long‑press home button/gesture or a “Hey Google”-style shortcut, speak my query, and have Venice speak the reply back to me.

Key parts of the request

  • Allow selecting Venice AI as the default “Assist app” in Android settings, so it can replace Google Assistant when the assistant action is invoked.

  • Support true two‑way voice: I talk, Venice streams or plays back its answer with TTS, and we can keep talking hands‑free.

  • Let me choose any supported model (e.g., Llama, Qwen, etc.) as the default for assistant interactions, ideally with per‑profile settings.

  • Optionally expose quick actions (send message, set reminder via external apps, control smart‑home through integrations) so it behaves like a practical voice assistant, not just a chat screen.

Extra context to make it stand out

  • Why I want it (e.g., “I prefer Venice’s models and privacy over Google Assistant”).

  • How often I’d use it (daily driving, while walking, accessibility, etc.).

After I paste this into the “Post description…” box, I’ll hit Submit Post, then share the link on Venice’s Reddit or Discord so others can upvote it.
