Many users can already create high-quality, consistent characters with tools like MidJourney, SDXL or Qwen-Image-Edit. Instead of being limited to a single avatar, it would be extremely valuable if Venice allowed character galleries with multiple poses and emotions. The companion AI could then automatically display the fitting image during a conversation whenever certain keywords or emotional triggers appear (e.g. sad → sad image, flirting → romantic expression). This would massively improve immersion in the Companion/Roleplay experience while keeping Venice’s core strengths: privacy and uncensored interaction.
Feature Request: Character Galleries with Triggered Images for Companions
At the moment, characters in Venice are limited to a single profile image. This is very restrictive, especially in the context of companions or roleplay. Many users can already generate high-quality, consistent character art with dozens of poses and expressions using tools like MidJourney, SDXL, Nanobanana or Qwen-Image-Edit.
Core idea: Users upload a character gallery/database (e.g. 50+ images of their character in different moods and poses). The companion AI can then automatically trigger the correct image when certain keywords or emotions appear in the conversation.
Examples:
– Companion responds sadly → a sad expression image appears.
– Companion flirts → a smiling, romantic expression appears.
– User writes “she sits down next to me” → AI shows the seated pose.Benefits:
– For users: Deeply increased immersion, especially in romantic/roleplay contexts.
– For Venice: Low development cost (just a gallery + tagging system). The community provides the content.
– For the community: An organic ecosystem like Civitai could emerge, where users compete to create the best character packs. Venice could even introduce rewards for popular characters (similar to Fortnite’s custom maps).Future potential:
– Simple animation presets (waving, hugging, etc.)
– Frame morphing for smooth transitions between expressions/posesUnique Selling Point:
With privacy + uncensored + dynamic visuals, Venice could fill a gap that no other companion platform (Replika, Character.AI, Grok) currently covers – and potentially take the lead in the companion AI market.
