Characters to be more like text chat

If I copy context from characters into text chat not only can I switch to image generation when I want if I want to see an image of something within the story but I can also put in multiple different character contexts and prompt for various forms of conversation including group ones.

So I’m asking to keep the benefits of Characters, such as the background and the character edit, but make it more like text chat.
