Chat/Model Specific Settings
Enable users to save specific settings, including system prompts and model selections, to individual chats, allowing for customized conversations.
Additionally:
Add ability for each models settings to be saved so that more advanced users can tailor the models to their use case in a way which only applies to that single model.
Alongside this I’d like for the recommended Temperature and Top-P settings to be marked on their value bar. It’d also be nice to be able to input a number specifically for both settings as currently all 0.05 settings are unattainable manually like DeepSeek’s suggestion for 0.95 Top-P or Mistral’s 0.15 Temperature, which is also below the minimum of 2 that you can manually set via the bar.

Thanks for the changes but I do have to comment, I think you picked the least important part of the request to implement and left the most important part (at least in my mind, but reading the original post, I would think to the original author as well).
You allowed for locking settings to model, which is useful, don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining. But we wanted to lock settings to a chat.
Right now, if I change model to, let’s say, venice medium, in chat 1, and then change to chat 2 where I had been using Venice large before, I still end up with the venice medium model, while I wanted to end with the venice large model instead, which was the last one used in chat 2 I just changed into.
I shouldn’t have to need to remember to change my model each time I want to type something in a chat that I want using a different model. and as I move back and forward between such chats I’ll inevitably forget to change the model and start getting different answers. it will take me a considerable amount of posts to notice the problem and then I have a lot of posts to remake and lost time in my hands.

Yes please. I was tricked by the model changing on my on a chat without me noticing it just because I had changed it in another chat until I finally figured out what was going on.
I find the “global model” as it currently stands to be very unintuitive if you work with different models for different reasons. It is only natural to have different chats that would require the different strengths that different models provide but right now, with the model always changing globally I need to go back and look to see which model I was using for that chat and I need to look back, not just the last posts because there is always the risk that the last posts were made with the wrong model due to a global model change that I didn’t notice.
It’s imposing a mental tax on what would be the natural usage of different chats.
I consider the model per chat to be the most important feature of this request personally. The ability to turn on or off different system prompts per chat would be nice but for me, personally, it’s a lot less important.

Being able to see which system prompt was used to generate a chat is quite important if you want to revisit the model responses. But it’s complicated by being able to change the system prompt between messages, so in case of a changed system prompt it might even have to be per user message in the chat?
