The proprietary models (Sora/Veo ect) have their own costs that Venice is simply passing on to its users. The subscription cost was implemented before Video Generation models were added, and they are exponentially more resource hungry.
For $150 worth of Video Generation, that works out to be around 15000 Credits. You could make around 80-150 videos at 10s length each with this. So over a course of a year, that is one video every 2-4 days.
Still, you’re getting use of text/image models too so $150 just doesn’t cover the running costs of doing both. If you had to pay for Video Gen elsewhere, thats how far your $150 would stretch (1 video every 2-4 days) and excluding and use of text or image gen.
You can buy 1 Diem currently for $145 and stake it. This will give you 100 credits every day for the foreseeable future — enough to do 1 video generation every day. So this is currently a much better deal than paying for credits.
