Feature Request: Multi-Device Access & Authentication Options for Non-Wallet Environments
Purpose: Enable users to access their Venice.ai account/data across devices without requiring direct crypto wallet access on every device, while preserving core security principles.
User Story:
As a Venice.ai user with a wallet-based account, I want to securely access my chat history and settings on devices where I can't/don't want to install my crypto wallet, so I'm not locked out if my primary wallet-enabled device is lost or compromised.
Proposed Solutions:
Multi-Device Sync System
Encrypted cloud backup (user-controlled keys) syncing chat history/settings across devices
Manual export/import of encrypted browser data via QR codes or files
Alternative Authentication Layer
Passkey integration: Generate wallet-linked passkeys (WebAuthn) for passwordless logins
Emergency access codes: Create time-limited, revocable backup codes derived from wallet signatures
Read-only mode: Access chat history via 2FA-protected email/SMS without full wallet connection
Technical Considerations:
Maintain zero-knowledge architecture: Never store unencrypted data on Venice servers
Wallet remains primary auth method - new options would be secondary layers
Encryption keys could be derived from wallet signatures + user-defined PIN
Additional Notes:
Aligns with existing local data storage model (extended with optional sync)
Could be Venice Pro exclusive feature to incentivize subscriptions
Preserves decentralization ethos while improving accessibility
