I'm a regular Venice user and really value the platform's commitment to privacy and uncensored AI interactions. I'd like to suggest a feature that would enhance usability without compromising Venice's core privacy principles: local device synchronization.
Currently, I use Venice on both MacBook and iPhone, but my conversations remain siloed on each device. While I understand this is by design to protect privacy, I believe there's a technical solution that could maintain privacy while adding convenience.
Proposed Solution:
Implement peer-to-peer synchronization between user devices via local network (Wi-Fi Direct) or Bluetooth. This would allow devices to directly exchange conversation history when on the same network, without ever storing data on Venice servers.
Benefits:
Maintains Venice's core privacy principle (no server storage of conversations)
Enables seamless switching between devices
Differentiates Venice from mainstream platforms
Technically feasible with end-to-end encryption
Aligns with Venice's user sovereignty philosophy
Implementation Considerations:
Initial pairing process via QR code or local discovery
Encrypted P2P connections for data transfer
Each device maintains its own encrypted copy
Optional feature that users can enable/disable
This feature would provide the convenience of cross-device continuity that users expect in 2026 while preserving what makes Venice unique - truly private, uncensored AI interactions.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. I'm happy to provide additional feedback if needed.
