Having the image settings tab open generates images in chats

So talking to DeepSeek after testing the exif metadata setting I switched to the image tab to have the correct setting name. When I hit respond I got images instead. tested a few times and it seems the setting tab has to be open for it to happen before it returns back to text, also all of them were in the style of what I used last, so I set the style to none and tried again and its consistent.

Assuming what you’re using Venice for isn’t supposed to change based on what settings you might be looking at? If so it seems a little unintuitive but not a serious issue.

    This is currently the intended UX. Switching to the image settings tab does switch the entire chat window (as indicated by the icon in the chat input) to images.

      I see, so you can’t look through your settings while a response/voice readout generates without returning to the initial settings tab before you prompt again. Seems like a bad decision there imo.

      Also, maybe worth noting is that after I closed the tab and returned to another text conversation on another tab, my next prompt also generated an image, didn’t check to see if the icon had toggled at the bottom of the prompt bar though and I wasn’t able to replicate this.

        We’ve merged a fix where the conversation selector will change the image settings, but the image settings won’t change the conversation selector.
