Would it be possible to write stories and generate images to match various scenes within the story portraying the characters in the story in different scenes?
I would try the new auto mode to keep all context in the same chat for this.

Would be good but you’d need a small model trained on the characters to maintain consistency throughout generations. It’s doable and people have asked for the ability to train models on Venice, though it doesn’t seem to be a priority.
I do something similar now and then, while I’d also create anime or 3d animation images of the characters, just to see what they look like in those styles, Venice’s current models become far more limited in those styles and there’s very little room to be creative with the current selection.
