Independent Privacy Audit

Venice prides itself with being completely private, but users have no way of checking. They have to trust. I would appreciate a Privacy Audit done by a third party. Alternatively, making more of Venice’s Infrastructure public would increase trust in the Privacy claim.

Is that possible / already done / in the works?

Would very-much-so like to see an independent audit done by someone reputable enough that if Venice succeeds or fails an audit, it’s a meaningful attestation.

Audited privacy should be a good additional advertisement for Venice.ai.

This would strengthen the unique feature.

Any progress on this? This should be in the interest of the Venice brand more than in the users.

Venice AI's lack of a privacy audit from a trusted third party is the primary concern preventing me from using the service. While it may not offer the most advanced models or the most affordable pricing for premium features, its value hinges on ensuring user privacy. Prioritizing a privacy audit should take precedence over other developments.

100% needs to happen. If it was completed, I’d implement it for all my company computers.

This is incredibly important and is probably stopping a lot of people from subscribing.

Exactly! Plus venice should incorporate NYM or hopR kind of mixnet layer to delete metadata in order be Actually ‘anonymous’ and private.

This is the reason I have not dropped the hammer and bought premium. I would need to know that my data is truly secure/private. Look to services like Proton which are open source, transparent and robustly audited. They even post their court order request statistics. This is the level that would be needed in order for people to subscribe in droves.

pretty sure proton said they didn’t log IPs.. and at the same time was complying and collecting IP logs. wasn’t very transparent about it until after the fact.

they can be compelled to start logging at any point and will comply.

This has been up for 5 months now really? Trust me bro privacy is not a great idea. Does Venice actually have any evidence they aren’t saving your data? I like the idea and the product but they really need to get on this.

Just popping in here to say that this is exactly what I was looking for as I decided whether or not to pay for Venice. As soon as there is robust, trustworthy evidence of the privacy claim, I’ll subscribe and encourage others close to me to subscribe as well. The OpenAI/New York Times debacle creates a huge opportunity for a company like Venice.
