Currently Venice.ai has a “Backup” feature which encrypts chats and stores on their servers. Also currently, Venice.ai allows for local exporting of chats but only allows so one by one which is painstaking and onerous considering we cannot easily figure out which chats need to be backedup. I’ve had to resort to creating my own “divider” chat just so I can know which chats have been updated since my last back up.
We need an “archive” feature that simply batch exports all chats at once. One click and all chats are converted to the export format (markdown for now, maybe more options in the future) and downloaded as a single zip file and named intelligently with a date and time stamp.
The archive file should include all chats, character definitions and system prompts. This feature need not be “importable” I would be very happy just for it to be export only… if I needed to find an old system prompt or something I could easy go find it in my archive and copy and paste it back into the system. I just need something to solve this pain points of having to individually export chats over and over again.
This seems to be an extremely easy logical task as the export feature already exists. It would literally just be recursively batching them up locally in the browser for ease of archiving.
Users have their own backup and disaster recovery operations that this needs to get plugged into.
