Additionally, I think it would be much preferable to use CommonHTML output instead of SVG, so that the displayed notation can be copied and pasted. Or, specify an option to output aria-label.
Basically any prompt which asks for maths notation will get back latex, even though latex isn’t being specifically asked for. Latex being the standard notation for writing math on computers, any question that involves math has a largely unintelligible answer unless you can render latex in your head.
MathJax is pretty popular for rendering LaTeX in the browser. Pay particular attention, in the prompt examples provided, that math is generally being output within square brackets or parentheses, which are the block and inline math delimiters for LaTeX in text.
When the model outputs math, it’s probably outputting \[ \], and \( \), which is being de-escaped down to the bare characters. This should mean that MathJax can be applied directly to the model outputs and it will “just work”.

Can the community share examples of prompts that generate latex that is not correctly formatting?

We do support Latex formatting. Can you explain your issue in more detail? What model are you using?
