Sybil/Bot protection for Points farming:
First change the 100 point reward for referrals, to include a criteria that the referral must stake a minimum amount of VVV tokens.
Second, make the value of the 100 points (in redeem store) valued at less than the minimum staking amount of VVV tokens for each referral. These two in combination create diminished return on trying to game the points system with bots/sybil accounts.
Store Items:
- Hardware Wallets
- Loot Boxes
- Gift Vouchers
- Venice Merchandise (apparel/mugs ect)
- Airdrops/NFT’s
- Workstations or AI Chips
- Holiday/Accommodation Packages
- Service Subscriptions (Prime, Netflix, Stan ect).
- Pro Subscription
- Zero cost items; Discord Roles/ChatterBox credits
Cost Subsidization:
We can reduce the APR of staking by a very minimal amount - say 2-5% and redirect a slight part of token inflation to service the cost of Store items. Alternatively, this can be subsidized from the Treasury or Incentives pools.
Note* To better optimize use of resources, we can start small with low cost items in the store, and later expand into larger cost items as the price of Venice increases.
Rationale:
Adding redeem value to the points incentivizes utilization of VCU and growth of new users via referral. In addition, the Store items creates a new avenue for branching out into affiliate marketing to reach a broader audience of users/customers/clients.
Additional/Optional:
Add a points leaderboard to leverage the value of prestige and competition to further incentivize product use and new referrals.
