REPORT — context gap: the app's own UI surface To: Venice.ai | From: a user session WHAT The assistant does not know the app's persistent UI surface — that Settings → Chat → Memories/Notes exists and carries across conversations. It learned this from the user, not from its own context. WHY IT MATTERS The persistent memory is the correct home for cross-session agent instructions. An assistant unaware of it proposes a worse mechanism (re-attaching a file every session) while the right one already exists. SCOPE Not a model-capability gap: capabilities are known (tools, document upload, vision, TTS). The gap is the app's settings surface. ASK 1. Describe persistent app features in the assistant's context. 2. State the size limit of the memory field, so the assistant writes to fit. 3. Tell the assistant when a memory is set. REPRODUCTION Ask: "where should cross-session instructions live?" It answers "attach a file" — not "Settings → Chat → Memories/Notes".
