Support URL Query Parameters for Chat Input

Venice.ai currently lacks the ability to accept search queries through URL parameters (e.g., https://venice.ai/chat?q=your_query). This prevents users from making a search within the browser address bar. Can you add this feature? Thanks.

Given that there are so many configuration options now compared to when this was first requested, I think it would be even more beneficial.

Maybe I want quick access to Grok with reasoning and web search disabled for a fast response, but then I also want a bookmark to Gemini with web search for more though-out answers, as well as Nano Banana for images.

It’s a bit (though not very) annoying to have to manually switch between all of the different settings/models through the UI every time.

    Examples parameters that I’d use:

    • q/query: text for the prompt

    • model: the model name

    • reasoning: on/off or enabled/disabled, for models that support it

    • search/internet: off/brave/google

    • temporary: true/false for temp chats

This would be cool because you could then open new chat window with a predefined shortcut on chromium based browsers and even in a 3rd party macos launcher like Alfred, Raycast etc.

I was just about to write a ticket for this. Would also appreciate options like model and search (or something like internet=true). As OP says, this would make adding Venice as a search engine very easy, and allow more control for users
