There should be a way to disable the auto scroll to the bottom 'feature' after entering the prompt

When you are reading previous prompts, you want to ask further questions and still keep reading where you are. The auto scroll down after entering a prompt is such a bad design choice because first of all the answer is not immediate so instantly going to the bottom has no point since you are just instantly moved down to now have to wait for the answer, so what is the urgency of going down anyway. So I am reading a long response or several responses ago I have a question, I send the prompt but I still want to keep reading where I am, why am I instantly moved down, I can do that on my own when I chose to. I don’t know why this feature still exists in other AIs as well this is such a bad feature. The correct design would be a button that appears with a little arrow pointing down AFTER the AI has given its full response to the prompt you just sent, now you know the answer is ready and you click to be auto scrolled to the bottom when you are done reading or asking it the questions you want wherever you are in the chat log.
