For better scrollability and on-screen adjacent comparison between iterated images, add a Grid view toggle that displays only generated images together as responsively sized thumbnails with minimal padding. Ideally a responsive mosaic without strict rows/columns with varying degrees of resizing to fit images of varying aspect ratios. Strict row/column visual line separation is not necessary due to lack of history context with image gen and it being preferable to fit them closer in legible medium sizes, but the ordering shouldn’t be randomized as the user will still want the general left-to-right top-to-bottom flow in the mosaic to roughly reflect the precedence. Going to the image detail in this view would then show the full image, the prompt was used, and any relevant buttons.
An ideal implementation would be making the first click on a thumbnail act as an expanding semi-preview to enlarge it to a comfortable viewing size but while still keeping you in the grid mosaic, which flows accordingly to arrange around the wider and taller semi-preview. Such enlarged ones can then show an overlaid detail button in the corner to see the full detail as a popover or modal. Allow multiple images to be expanded as semi-preview simultaneously. This lets users selectively expand a few images they want to keep on-screen at the same time to better compare while drafting their next prompt.
