Venice's current chat storage works well for privacy by keeping everything encrypted in the browser's local storage (venice-db-encrypted and venice-rx-db-encrypted).
However, chats started under a specific model (such as Grok 4.20 Beta) are partitioned separately from "Auto" chats. This causes important conversations to disappear from the main CHATS sidebar even though the data remains locally stored. The result is poor UX where users cannot reliably see or recover their own undeleted history.
Please add a single master view with these capabilities:
A dedicated "All Local Chats" section (or similar) that displays every undeleted conversation in one place, regardless of the model used when it was created. This is the highest priority.
Search functionality that works across all chats in this unified view. This is also a top priority.
One-click options on each chat to promote it to the main/Auto view or to export its full text. This is equally important.
Optional but wanted: each entry should show a tag indicating the original model (Auto, Grok 4.20 Beta, etc.).
This would give users full control over their local data without needing to guess which model selector reveals a given chat. It complements the existing encrypted chat backup/export feature already available to Pro users and the Spotlight Search for quick lookup, but solves the fragmentation at the core UI level.
The current model-based splitting makes long research chats easy to lose, as happened when a multi-day session started under Grok 4.20 Beta vanished from the standard CHATS area. A unified local view would prevent this while staying true to Venice's local-only, encrypted storage design.
