Chat Image/Chat models in same chat thread
A feature that would be a game changer would be to combine or allow to the user to setup up a single chat thread with a chat bot and an image generation model and allow the user to seamlessly flow between the two using tags such as “chat:” and “image:” to switch between the two AI modes. The models can be defined as they are now but have a listener that would look for specific tag words to prime the correct model for a response.
I feel that this would help out tremendously with my work flow and more than likely many others workflows as well. I also think it’s counter productive to have to switch between chats manually when it can be done in a single thread, or at least in my mind to will work.

Guessing this isn’t about the web app? Pretty sure you can do this on there.

Hi Dave — You can do this today using the image and text mode buttons here:
You don’t need to switch conversations — they can all exist in the same conversation.
We’re also working on a mode that will automatically detect what you’re looking to do.
Is that what you’re looking for?

I was looking for something like ```chat or ```image or something similar that would allow us to seamlessly flow between image and chat while typing. Autodetection could be cool but I feel that starting your text with an identifier for either chat or image would probably work better as it would not have the option to misinterpret your text.

It’s not just a matter of having chat and image in the same session, but being able to use the chat function in order to refine the image generation.
Also, when I switch to the image generation mode the ability to provide reference images disappears.

merge chat and image creation
I would like that, like in Gork, I could chat and create images in the same session and not have 2 separate sessions, this would allow me to easily create manga and illustrated stories. Thanks and have a good day everyone.

You can currently swap between image and text generation by using the type buttons in the bottom left of the chat input. This is supported within a single chat conversation - you don’t need to switch conversations.

Venice Chat Models Interfacing With Image Models
I think it would be cool to have a chat model create the prompts that it can directly give t9 the image models. It would save a lot of time from creating the requests myself. There might be risk with misinterpreting what I ask, but the tradeoff is time. It would be cool to have both options.

I just want to be able to create images out of the chats and conversations and stories that I'm working on and not have to switch between two different screens or two different like parts where I could just pull that from the image like perchance AI chat has something like that and it's like totally readable

To clarify this feature uses custom prompts to tell the llm to generate a prompt of characters in context or the environment in the story and send it to image generation. Older images are also used as context so often a vision model method is included, the vision model describing the focus and then using that detail as further context for image generation.

Hello David, did you try out “Simple Mode” yet? No need to change between models anymore.
